Something about the 4th of July always makes my Teacher mode kick in.
I turn from lazy summer days, (ha,ha read Uber Mom post) to getting ready
for the next school year. You would think after 25 years in the classroom IÂ
would not need to prepare much. You would think right! But each year I seem
to find that one or two things that I can improve on and so begins the July prepare
season.Â
After many summers of this happening I have decided that this is how I gage if
I should stay in this profession. When the summer comes that I don't feel the need
to improve on something, that is probably my que to look into what I should be doing.
If I don't want to be there, I am not what the students need. Shame on the teacher
that is there doing no good for their students.Â
